NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
FAQ
Where is the closest grocery store?
We highly recommend Butcher Boy’s Grocery and Liquor Store, located on Silver Star Road on the way back into Vernon. Turn North at the first set of lights. I’s about a seven minute drive!
Is there a Dog Park nearby?
Yes. BX Ranch Park is an eight minute drive from the campground. There is also a Dog Friendly area at Kin Beach on Lake Okanagan.
Where can I get propane?
If you have a Class A or Class C motorhome you will need to go to the Petro-Pass Truck Stop. They also fill regular propane bottles there. Or, Hunter’s Centex Gas Station does bottle refills and exchanges.
Where are the BX Falls?
Sorry, this one always makes us giggle a little, on the inside 🙂 When you walk out the Exit of Cedar Falls Campground turn to the right and immediately cross the road. It is safer to walk towards oncoming traffic as the shoulders are very narrow. After walking 100 yards you will see the parking lot for the BX Falls trail head. Enjoy the hike, it’s quite spectacular!
Which lake has the best beach?
This is subjective, they each have their good qualities. Kin Beach on Okanagan Lake has a dog friendly area, but Kal Beach on Lake Kalamaka is quite large with some amenities close by. I guess you just have to stay long enough to try out both options!
